hi rahh, back in Singapore about 2 days earlier than i was suppose to. Suddenly there were seats on the plane for all of us to leave earlier than the 2nd Jan flight. Don't know whether i should feel happy or sad cause i was kinda looking forward to watch the Taiwan countdown party live on TV from TaiZhong. bleh.
Oh well, i can watch the one in Singapore then.

Well, let's rewind all the way back to around 21 Dec when i just stepped into the airport of Taiwan.

Kaohsiung
It was pretty scary in Kaohsiung(2nd biggest industrial site in Taiwan) for the first 2 days. Got on a taxi to get to the hotel from the airport. Whaseh, damn freaky cause the cars don't exactly keep to their own lane and the number of motorcyclists is insane!And the taxis there also accerlerate and speed like no ones business. I swore i could have just died there. Crossing the roads were also like another challenge. You must keep looking out for the oncoming traffic although you can see the green man. Fyi, the vehicles just zoom pass the red light. Scary? yeah! cause Singapore ain't like that.

Theme park! (:
Take a look at this video, called the Screaming Condor. The first time i sat that i was like going to die just thinking about it but after the ride it wasn't even scary at all. In fact, i loved it! i sat it about 4 times. So fun!

After that met up with my father's friend's family whose living in Taipei and they were the ones who purposely chou chu shi jian, about 3 days to take us around with the car and driver we rented.

Taipei
Went to places like the Museum that holds all the China treasure that Taiwan took from China during the war last time. Really boring cause it's not like i appreciated all these. Headed down to Taipei 101 to see the view. Nothing much but the elavator we took up to the top was the fastest in the world. 37 secs to the 89th floor! Fast aye! Then went to Shilin, biggest night market in Taipei. I love the night markets.

Last day in Taipei. Went to this super famous singer, Theresa Teng's grave. Then headed for some places with nice scenery then went for lunch in this small area up in the mountains. Saw those fumeroles, those small holes with water being naturally boiled with those stinky sulphur smell but only saw those pretty small ones as it was waaaaay too misty to see the bigger ones further out, so sad :(

It's real! but dead. so gross right, found quite a few washed up on the shore and quite a few squished by stupid ppl with no eyes. EEEW


Had dinner with all 9 of us for the last night and i bought my POTC, AWE DVD. Omg, i bought the one that came with a small Jack Sparrow and Sao Feng doll, like those small voodoo dolls thing you can find in Mini Toons just that this was the POTC edition (:
Had dessert and we said bye to the other family as we were going out of Taipei to other parts of Taiwan already.

I bought this!!!!! OMG the doll so cute la!

Sun Moon Lake
Hmmm, so it's been seriously only 100% scenery and no shopping and stuff liddat. I
m serious, not kidding. That day was really nice because the weather was just right and the sky was soooo nice and blue that when you snap pics, together with the mountains it's really super nice.
Rented a boat and headed out to the famous Sun Moon Lake for a nice 'cruise'.

see the difference in the shade or blue? the lighter blue is more shallow water than the darker shade

This 2 trees are dead cause it kena struck by lightning. who ask them grow till so tall. So ppl call it fu qi shu.



Alishan
A mountain, temperature was about 10 to 6.5 degrees in the night. cold yeah, but thank goodness there was hardly any wind. Next day work up at 4.30am just to go up to a higher spot by travelling on a train for around 30 mins. It's soooos stupid, i mean like dunno how many insane and foolish people squeezing into the train just to see the sunrise. Imagine, tons of people just waiting at this spot in the mountains just to wait for the sun to rise like it was some ming xing and we're some fans of the sun. lol! and when the sun rises you can't setare at the sun for it'll kill your eyes. it's only the before the rising of the sun that the sky was a prety colour.
AFter that took the train back to the hotel then we walked around in the forest near by with some seriously old trees planted there, not forgetting some really weird shaped trees. haha.

Last day
Went a big night market the night before leaving. Pretty cool cause it's sooo big and it was super fun.
