For once i'm not gonna blog about anything Adam/Idol related.

It felt so good to be back at West Coast again. It's gonna be quite some time before i can go back there again. Anyway, intensive stretching was painful but quite satisfying. At least i knew i was exercising and sweating it out again. Have not done that in how long man!

So now my muscles are aching like crazy now. I bet it's gonna take a week to get rid off or something. It's like if i sit down for too long and suddenly start standing and walking, i walk like a complete idiot. It's like i'm totally imbalanced or something, i need to hold on to something to even walk. Then when i stand for too long and wanna sit down, it can totally kill me.

My legs esp the thigh muscles and the area where i stretched for my arms, where the 'wings' are suppose to be on a dancer's body hurts. But at least i know i stretched properly now right?

Headed to store like an hour after 9am cause it seriously looked like it was gonna rain big time. Perriot 2 seems so awesome! I wish i could be part of it but commitment's sucha big issue :( But the only way i can think of is being FOH. Doesn't require much commitment and i can get involved in Pierrot 2 as well since i missed Pierrot already. But don't get me wrong, i'm not thinking of wanting to be FOH to take the easier way out. I can totally imagine how Pierrot 2 will be like. It'll be so awesome i'm gonna see it no matter what!

I've come to a conclusion.
Everyone has an inner Adam Lambert
And once in a while it is channelled out
In different ways
Be it through the makeup/nailpolish/etc
Fullstop.

I've a confession to make. Deep down in my heart somewhere i yearn to perform/sing to a crowd that adores me. Seriously, who doesn't ever dream about that? (If you say no i swear you're lying). Think about it, think about your favourite singer/actor. Don't you ever wonder how they feel, say singing to a crowd that wants every piece of them, sings their songs and backs them up when they somehow get so into the music they even forget the lyrics at times? Gives a standing ovation to you after a kickass performance at some cool theatre?

I always wonder how BLG feels after touring and have tons of people wanting their stuff signed, or how Adam felt when he saw his names on Katy Perry's cape.
"he almost fell off his chair" was what one article said.

Here's my totally unrealistic dream: Somehow get killa vocals, fly myself to America, enter myself in the next American Idol, land myself in the top 2 positions and let my career kick off from the end of that competition.
Fine, maybe my recent obsession with AI has left me with ridiculous thoughts. But no, i'm not kiddin' about my first para.

Anyway, back to the real and serious blogging.
Went for TEDS like a few metres away from my house yesterday, glad to see all of them again.

And i'm still reading up write ups on AI even though it ended like how many days ago! I'm kinda gonna miss the fact of watching AI and watching Adam do his own ultra nice renditions of different songs. So here's some Idol bits here and there. If you hate Idol or think i'm being stupid with this Idol obsession, please click that X button on the top right hand side of your screen thank you very much, otherwise read on if you've nothing better to do or are suffering from Idol withdrawal symptoms and tag at my board! It's getting dead. Haha.

KRIS ALLEN'S EXPRESSION IS THE MOST PRICELESS THING NEXT TO HEARING ADAM SINGING. haha!

"when the time came for host Ryan Seacrest to announce the results, Allen and Lambert stood arm-in-arm, their friendship looking much more like a real bond than a made-for-TV facade. And when Seacrest opened the envelope, Allen looked genuinely stunned, his mouth hanging open as Lambert gave him a big hug.
Finally raising his hand in victory and looking like he was a bit nauseous, Allen said, "Are you freakin' serious? ... It feels good man, but Adam deserves this. I don't even know what to feel right now. This is crazy. Thank you so much." "
http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1611893/20090520/story.jhtml

"In a Rolling Stone interview, Queen's lead guitarist Brian May said, "It's not like we, as Queen, would rush into coalescing with another singer just like that. It isn't that easy. But I'd certainly like to work with Adam. That is one amazing instrument he has there." He's talking about Adam's voice."

Talking about the coronation song, No Boundaries. The first bit of the vid's quite funny. They're quite funny together

This is by far the best performance ever. QUEEN+ADAM+KRIS

He sounds so like Mig! Incredible (:

11:22 AM

GAAAHHHH KRIS WON.
ADAM LOST.
I'M UPSET

I still feel Adam deserves it more. Simon seemed a tad upset when he didn't stand up to clap for Kris while the rest of the judges did. So now Adam's like Archuleta in season 7. He will make it big that i'm definitely sure. I guess America just prefered Kris to be the Idol.

Anyway the finale was good stuff. So much good music. They let Adam sing with Kiss which was really awesome. Totally showed off Adam's rockstar qualities. Nice to see Mraz and Black Eyed Peas. Cyndi Lauper looked s different from the last time i saw her at Singfest. Maybe cause she has long hair now. The best for me was their last performance. FOX GOT QUEEN TO PERFORM! WITH ADAM AND KRIS. IT WAS SO AWESOME. It's like my favs altogther.

"Kris Allen just pulled off what may be the biggest upset in "American Idol" history. He beat Adam Lambert, who had been favored to win "AI's" crown from the beginning.
Allen, an Arkansas native, seemed shocked by the news and was slow to respond to Ryan Seacrest's questions about his upset victory. Lambert, of California, hugged Allen after the announcement and seemed genuinely happy for the guy who'd just beat him."
http://www.lehighvalleylive.com/tv/index.ssf/2009/05/kris_allen_wins_american_idol.html

"But first he talked to Simon Cowell who said that both finalists are great and incredible singers. And the winner of "American Idol" season 8 is Kris Allen. He said in awe, "Adam deserves this. I'm sorry," then cried on his wife's shoulder. "
http://aceshowbiz.com/news/view/00024410.html

""Adam deserves this. I'm sorry." Possibly the best quote ever from an American Idol winner."

My current Facebk status:
Debbie Yew I have to admit, I still pretty much can't get over the fact that adam was beaten by kris. Its like the biggest upset in idol history. But it was seriously so cute of kris to even say "Adam deserves this" more or smth when he was suppose to be soaking up his moment. They're like seriously super good friends

Today's finals was good stuff. I shall be as unbiased as i can be and talk about their songs.

1st song
Adam: Mad World is by far the most wonderful performance i've seen from Adam cause it's so raw. But then somehow i like his first performance of Mad World than today's cause i think he's toning down on his screaming which i wish he hadn't cause it's his style. Rockstars have haters too. Mick Jagger and Lep Zepplin were all eccentric.
Kris: His song was good. Reminds me of his Heartless. After watching his performance, i thought Adam was dead meat

2nd song
Adam: It was good he went back to his rockstar screaming thing. I mean that's his style what. Took control of the stage which was really awesome
Kris: Seriously, his guitar skills are so good but Adam topped this for me (:

3rd song
Adam: Wow. This song really hit me. He made this song so epic and big and took control of it
Kris: His weakness was really shown here. His vocal range's smaller compared to Adam's. But oh well, i thought he was kinda naked without his guitar or piano. Maybe i'm too used to him with an instrument already. Though you could see he was really into the song.

But i really think Kris improved alot. I dont feel that secure about Adam winning the title cause i think with every performance, Kris is improving. But it all depends. Their personalities are the direct opposite. But both of them will definitely make it into the industry. Plus reading Life!'s article on them being friends, pledging to support each other's music all the way(they've been roomates since day 1 in idol mansion) and they just wanna put up a good show is quite sweet.

"i will be a fan forever frontline"
Paula to Adam

"dude you can sing the phonebook" or anything and make it yours
Randy to Adam

THE HOT FAVOURITE VS THE DARK HORSE
THE GLAM ROCKER VS THE ARTISTE
OUTRAGEOUSNESS VS TENDERNESS
ADAM VS KRIS

WHO WILL BE AMERICA'S NEXT IDOL?
Frankly, i dunno though whether they win or not they'll go far in the industry.

Career day was last Friday. Had ACJC talk and Mass Comm talk from Ngee Ann. Pretty cool stuff. Anyway, during our session with this random trainer assigned to each of our class, we were suppose to write our names on this card, jumble it up, and each person take one of another's and write down 2 jobs what you think she's suitable for.

Joanne got mine. She wrote 1. and 2.(love it btw) & i added 3. Aren't i allowed to dream a lil' for a while? (;

PS: The New Moon official poster that's just out looks absolutely sweet. I'm super stoked about catching it end of year after Os. (Omg that PS was so filled with american slangs. haha. reading too much comments from martinsays

PPS:Dish of Salt: ‘Idol’s’ Adam Lambert On His Photo Scandal

Read that! I wanted to copy paste credit in my post but i realised they put there no republishing and rewritting so ya. Boo.

I HOPE IT REMAINS THIS WAY

"As far as pure vocals, it's not a contest, but it's just a question of people's taste. Kris represents one kind of person, and Adam represents a different kind of person...
Katy Perry's sneaky shout-out to Lambert in the guise of his name plastered across her satiny Elvis cape. "I don't know if he knew that was going to happen," he said. "But that's what Adam has going for him: All the legit people in the business really like him, and that's definitely a first for 'American Idol.'...
Lambert, who she praised for spending time with the MET kids last week. "Those kids will remember that for the rest of their lives," she said. "He told me one thing he realized as this has gone on and exploded is that he has a great responsibility as a role model to young people. He told them to not be afraid to be who you are and be one of those creative, artistic kids." "
http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1611415/20090514/story.jhtml

"I finally tuned into American Idol for the first time this year and put a face to this "Adam Lambert" character I’d been hearing so much about. And let me tell you something, I don’t care how many studded belts he wears, that boy is one charismatic son of a gun and he is now one of two finalists on this season’s AI."
http://www.beanstockd.com/beanstockd/2009/05/15/kris-allen-or-adam-lambert-for-american-idol-wed-do-kris/4940

I HOPE THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN
"HE'S ONE OF "American Idol's" most lauded contestants. He came pre-loaded with serious stage experience and he even had a measure of success with his singing before he auditioned.
Once on the show, he was recognized at once as a tremendous talent and received constant waves of praise from the judges — except for occasional, predictable jabs by Simon.
The ladies love him — and some of the guys do, too. He's humble and self-effacing in interviews and appears to get along well with his fellow contestants and pretty much everyone else.He was predicted for weeks to have a lock on the "Idol" title.
Who did I just describe? If the topic is "American Idol" season seven, it's David Archuleta. But step forward a year. Don't all of the attributes listed above also fit Adam Lambert?Despite high expectations, David Archuleta didn't win "American Idol." Adam Lambert might not, either....

The chink in Adam's armor is also his most powerful asset: his style. Some call it showtuney, some call it "Broadway," some, like Simon, call it occasionally over-the-top. Some absolutely love it. But Adam's approach can be so strong, so heavy-handed that it drives away some listeners even as it coaxes others in."

Boo. No TEDS for me tomorrow thanks to bad flu, throbbing head, mild cough and irritating sore throat. Argh

As cheesy or cliche as this might sound, reading up articles written by everyone all over the net over their predictions of the Kris/Adam finale is my drug.

"On last week's elimination night, singer Katy Perry showed her support to Adam using the cape of her costume. MTV's "Hills" character Audrina Patridge also expressed her support to the San Diego native, "I actually was at 'American Idol' [on Tuesday night] and went to dinner with Adam after," she said. "And I think he's gonna win!" she added."
http://www.sassyqarla.com/2009/05/adam-lambert-is-winner-for-most-celebs.html

"Simon is probably worried about Adam's chances," MJ said. "He doesn't want another Chris Daughtry or another Melinda Doolittle. I think he really wanted her in the finals in season six, and she didn't make it, even though everyone sort of assumed she would. So even though everyone's telling [Lambert], 'See you in the finals,' he wanted to remind the casual voters that they need to vote for him. And when he reminds people to do things, they generally do." "
http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1611290/20090513/story.jhtml

"But once in a very long while, someone arrives who doesn't just dominate American Idol, but challenges and even changes it. ... Meet Adam Lambert. Adam has messed all that up. Adam is nobody's idea of a blank slate. Adam is a surprise....Then in walked this 27-year-old from San Diego, a chameleon of a singer who was unashamedly everything that the Fox reality show thought ''we'' didn't want."
http://www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,20007164_20171835_20277643_2,00.html

"You may have noticed during Idol's "hometown visit" episode that Kris Allen's thumbnail (above) was painted a lovely shade of royal blue. Turns out, Allen and Adam Lambert had a secret pact sealed with nail polish:

Kris Allen Nation reports: "Kris performed during Rock week with a painted thumbnail, and his homecoming footage captured the chipped polish. Tuesday night, however, Kris performed one of the best performances of the night (and the season, might I add) with a freshly painted thumbnail. According to (friend of the Allen family) Megan Malone, Adam painted Kris's thumbnail after the homecoming visits and removed the polish from one of his own nails, stating 'If you can carry around a piece of me, man; I can do the same for you.' Malone said, 'The Allens believe Kris wears the black fingernail polish in support of Adam because he wanted Adam in the finale. Also, Kris wanted to dispel any rumors claiming the two weren’t great friends.' Kris and Adam were roommates in the Idol Mansion throughout their stay.""
http://www.towleroad.com/2009/05/adam-lambert-and-kris-allen-in-secret-nail-polish-pact.html

And like on Twitter there are so many fake Adam Lambert accounts. All fakes. Because contestants aren't allowed to have Twitter or something liddat said by Allison.

Simon says Adam will win and he shall

Adam Lambert! Omg. HE.IS.AWESOME.
His voice is crazy, vocal range is insane and he's an actor as well. Totally reminds me of Mig, killer vocals and is in musicals. He was recently casted in Wicked but if he wins Idol, won't he be tied down by a contract and not able to perform in Wicked?

But even if he doesn't win for some reason, he'll definitely get a record. I dont think American Idol ever had sucha contestant before. Though people might find him too scream-ish, at least he can pitch himself well and pull off hard songs like some crazy Mick Jagger song or Led Zepplin. That's what i call power.
Go listen to his rendition of Mad World by Gary Jules if i'm not wrong. So friggin nice!

freedom and fun's so near i can literally taste!
2 more suckers to go

He must win Idol! Gonna blog more on Idol when i've time aka after exams. He looks like Pete Wentz from FOB right?

They're going on tour again! And if Brent keeps to his word, BLG i guess would most probably pop by end of year.

"record due or die: june 1. never ending tour starts: june 19."

Finally! The weekend has arrived. Time for me to catch up on all the stuff i've been missing out. Martin tried to scream a lil during Hero/Heroine performance at Bamboozle. Here's what Bryan wrote. He's so funny!

And like there's this rumour of Ashley Tisdale liking Bryan Donahue going on. Normally i don't indulge in such gossip but Bryan's been around Twitter pretty often this few days and his tweet on the Ashley thing is really damn funny

And i need to catch up on Harper's Island, watch BLG's youtube video of their performance at Bamboozle and their covers of Coldplay plus count down to the number of days BLG will release their new record (Martin said about a month or so!).

I've 4 more papers to shoot down before i'm a free human being. I'm already planning for my after exam celebration. It so happens that Angels and Demons, the movie that i've been anticipating and looking forward to for so long is released! AKA I'M WATCHING IT ON THE DAY OF RELEASE! Pretty excited then i'll go to vivo and shop shop then go PS play shoot shoot. Omg so exciting! Then Friday's Guitar Hero World Tour day at Huilin's place after school. School'll be pretty interesting too cause there's talks going on. I'm going for the film and media talk and the talk on ACJC cause there's only NYJC and ACJC to choose from. Then Saturday i made a deal that i could go store after TEDS or where ever with TEDS all the way till late late.
do you see why i'm so excited now?

'lot of bands are putting down their guitars, picking up their Apple laptops and thinking, 'Hey, let's do it this way, we're not going to go with that trend."
Martin Johnson lead of blg

that's one of the many reasons why i respect blg loads

ps: gonna upload SOP pics quite soon. Got some rare shots of ccas in costumes as a whole which i think it's pretty neat.
